How do you remove bonded windows from a car without breaking it??

I Banger race all diffrent sorts of cars and it takes ages to remove the glass on some when there bonded in. I dont want to break it as this just makes a mess and my gaffer wouldnt be to happy. (I keep the car at work)
I heard you can use a cheese wire but where do i get some?
Useing a stanley knife isnt always possible because of the angle of the glass
Any idears??
